In just 25 years the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering has risen to levels of national recognition for faculty teaching, research and service. In an era of tremendous technological change, we stand tall in research achievement with more than 22 million in annual expenditures for 2006-2007. Dr. Braketta Ritzenthaler, Assistant Dean of Industry and Research Services Faculty members are currently working to establish a long-range strategic research plan to carry the college into the next decade and beyond. Our researchers are well posed to accept the engineering challenges of tomorrow and build on our past and present achievements.

Faculty continue to find solutions to problems that are important to our society such as energy production, next generation materials, healthcare, national security and defense, power generation and transportation systems. Now we enter into a new era of research opportunities, recruitment of talented students, and the expansion of program offerings. With almost 100 faculty members we will continue to work toward our motto of "Quality, Growth, and Diversity."
